King spent over 3 decades as a respected event producer creating temporary environments and experiences for guests throughout the world. Starting in the early 80’s as a prop builder and installation specialist with a boutique event company, It’s The Main Event, he turned his passion for creating props into one of full-service event design and production.

As a young entrepreneur, King continued to surround himself with amazing artisans while leading the creative output of the design and fabrication studios of his own Southern California-based company, King Dahl Event Design. In 2003, he sold the company he founded to a small group of his extremely talented employees to pursue leading the creative and sales forces of Las Vegas’ prestigious MGM Resorts Event Productions. Throughout his career, he and his teammates have designed thousands of events and have been recognized with many international design awards over the years, including King’s induction into the Event Solutions Magazine Hall of Fame for a lifetime of achievement in production.

After spending 35 years designing events, King is now enjoying a purposeful work-life balance in the Pacific Northwest. He speckles his calendar with event projects of his choosing with various companies in his vast network of colleagues, while leaving ample time to design furniture and event decor elements often inspired by his new northwest surroundings.

Event design, complete event production, on-site project/installation supervision, or simply designing event props or furniture are all within his portfolio.
